Nestling amongst traditional Victorian gardens, millponds and woodland in the heart of Northern Ireland is Ardtara, an elegant 4* 19^th century mansion, once a family home to the Clark linen barons.

Our nine bedrooms are all uniquely and individually designed, yet are still in keeping with the original Victorian style, whilst offering all the modern conveniences. We also offer a tour of the estate which tells its unique story of the Clark family, Northern Ireland’s linen history and how the estate is used today.

For other activities in the area, not only are we surrounded by our cluster members, we are within 45 minutes of Belfast, Derry city, Royal Portrush and Portstewart golf clubs, the Giant’s Causeway and the Antrim Coast, offering the perfect base from which to explore.

Our award-winning 2 AA rosette restaurant serves sumptuous afternoon teas, stunning Sunday lunch, exquisite dinners and our casual lounge menu. We pride ourselves on the highest quality, not only of cooking skill, but also in our choice of local suppliers, as well as using our own produce from our gardens and poly tunnel.

We also cater for exclusive bespoke weddings, are fully licensed for marriage ceremonies and offer private hire of the entire property. We liaise with our wedding couples to ensure that the biggest day of their lives is exactly how they want it.
