Enjoy a river cruise from Portglenone to Toome with River Bann Tours. Meet your guide, Jim, at Portglenone, a picturesque village on the banks of the River Bann, and embark on a scenic boat tour along the river, taking you to Toome. As you cruise along the river which flows out of Lough Neagh, you can take in the breath-taking countryside views. Along the way, Jim will share stories on the local wildlife and the folklore of the surrounding Mid Ulster, offering a glimpse into the heart and soul of Loughinsholin.
Activity 2 | Lough Neagh Fishery Visitor Centre
Discover the Visitor Centre at Lough Neagh Fishery and the fascinating world of Europe’s largest wild eel fisheries. Unravel the rich history of fishing on Lough Neagh and gain an understanding of its unique biodiversity and how the Fishery is preserving a way of life for the local fisherfolk. Visitors will also sample the local delicacies that are enjoyed all over the world prepared by Bronagh from Bakehouse

Enjoy a relaxing 2-course lunch at The Taphouse in Bellaghy, a traditional Irish pub, where visitors will enjoy the craic and savour authentic Irish dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Accommodation Option
Visitors will depart from The Taphouse and travel the short distance to The Glenavon House Hotel. After settling into the accommodation, visitors can enjoy the spa and gardens, before a 3-course dinner at the hotel.
